A 16-year-old boy struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Bellmore was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Nassau County police said the injuries to the teen are not believed to be serious.

"It looks like he's going to be OK," a police spokeswoman said late Wednesday afternoon.

She added that she had no other details on the teen's injuries.

The accident took place at 7:03 a.m. near the intersection of Bellmore Avenue and Wilson Avenue, police said.

The driver, a 77-year-old woman, remained at the scene and no charges are expected, police said.
