A teen walking on a street in Valley Stream on Thursday was robbed by a man who threatened to shoot him, then fled in a green four-door Toyota Corolla, police said.

Nassau County police said the 16-year-old victim, whose identity was not released, was walking along Carroll Avenue at about 6 p.m. when the robber approached him, displayed a black and silver handgun and threatened to shoot him -- then stole his iPod.

The victim managed to get a partial license plate, which police said began with EKC.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
