Teen stabbed by attacker on Roosevelt street, police say
A 17-year-old boy suffered nonlife threatening wounds after he was stabbed Monday in Roosevelt, Nassau County police said.
The victim was walking on East Pennywood Avenue toward a local delicatessen when an unknown attacker, who was cursing to himself and rambling incoherently, confronted the teenager around 11:15 a.m., police said.
The attacker, described as being in his late 30s or early 40s, suddenly stabbed the teenager in his neck. The victim ran into the delicatessen and called police. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police said the suspect, who is clean shaven with black hair, wore a black jacket.
