Teens leave hospital after Hempstead Tpke. hit
Three teenagers hit by a vehicle as they crossed a street Monday near East Meadow High School have been released from Nassau University Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday.
Each of the three left the hospital on crutches Tuesday when they were released, spokeswoman Shelley Lotenberg said.
A police spokeswoman said injuries to the three were non-life-threatening and they had been taken to the hospital, which is on northeast corner of the intersection where they were struck.
Police said they could not be sure if the three were students at the high school. The police spokeswoman did not have details on the accident but said there is no criminality involved.
