Two men entered a Mineola cleaners on Monday evening and robbed two people inside, Nassau County police said.

The robbers entered Butler Cleaners on East Jericho Turnpike through an open back door at 6:15 p.m., police said in a news release. One promptly robbed a 43-year-old man of cash, then ordered him to a cash register, where an additional "undetermined amount" of cash was also taken, police said.

Meanwhile, the second robber stole jewelry from a woman, 38, police said.

The two robbers then fled.

No one was injured and it was not immediately clear whether the two fled on foot or via a vehicle.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
