Employees at three retail establishments in Hempstead were cited Saturday for allegedly selling alcohol to minors following an undercover investigation by New York State Police.

Haseeb Sibtain, 20, a clerk at the Sunoco Gas Station at 1738 Grand Ave.; Jason Vargas, 33, a clerk at Path Liquors at 1336 Grand Ave.; and Kyeoung Kim, 55, a clerk at a 7-Eleven at 1271 Grand Ave., were charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage.

The three were issued appearance tickets for violation of the state Alcohol and Beverage Control Law and unlawfully dealing with a child, state police said in a news release. They were to be scheduled to appear in First District Court in Hempstead.
