Three men sought in Uniondale beating

First Squad detectives are investigating the beating and attempted robbery of a man in Uniondale on Tuesday, Nassau County police said.

Police said three men assaulted a 51-year-old man as he was leaving a store on Front Street at about 10:30 p.m.

The men demanded cash and then struck the victim in the head and face, police said. When the victim was knocked to the ground, the three men also punched and kicked him.

The three men fled without getting any cash, police said, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital with a laceration to his right eye.
