Three teens charged in Valley Stream robbery

Three teenagers, one a juvenile, have been arrested in connection with a robbery Monday in Valley Stream.

Nassau County police said they arrested Titus Green, 17, of Atlantic Avenue, East Rockaway; Amr Nasr, 16, of Dubois Avenue, Valley Stream, and a juvenile, whom they did not identify, early Wednesday.

Police said the trio approached two teenagers who were on their bicycles on Rockaway Avenue Monday about 5 p.m. Police said the suspects punched one 18-year-old victim in the face, knocking him off his bike - and said one of the robbers then reached into the victim's pocket, stealing his cell phone. The trio then fled the scene on foot.

Green and Nasr were charged with two counts each of second-degree robbery and second-degree assault, while Green also was charged with third-degree assault, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree bail jumping. It was not immediately clear if the juvenile has been charged in the incident.
