Tractor trailer hit Southern State Parkway overpass, police say

A tractor trailer on the Southern State Parkway struck an overpass Tuesday night in North Bellmore, forcing lane closings for several hours, state police said.
The truck struck the Oakfield Avenue overpass about 9:30 p.m. and some westbound lanes remained closed past midnight, state police said.
There were no reported injuries, state police said.
