Trailer of errant truck hits overpass on N. State in Woodbury
An errant tractor trailer entered the westbound Northern State Parkway on Wednesday morning in Woodbury - and its trailer was destroyed moments later when it struck a bridge overpass, police said.
State police said the crash occurred at 9:23 a.m. west of Route 135, the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway. Police said they believe the truck entered the road at Manetto Hill Road.
No one was injured, and traffic was subjected to minor delays. The truck was quickly moved to the shoulder, limiting the impact on traffic, police said.
