Train make you late for work? MTA website can prove it
Commuters needing to explain to their bosses - or family members - why they were late are getting some help from the MTA.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority on Friday announced that information about late or canceled Long Island Rail Road trains now will be available and archived on the MTA's official website.
Information will be posted seven to 10 days after a train's run. Trains are considered late if they arrive six minutes or more past their scheduled time.
