Trains halted after body found on tracks
Long Island Rail Road service was suspended between Jamaica and Penn Station on the Port Washington branch Saturday night while police investigated a body on the tracks, the LIRR said.
The body was west of Woodside, in Queens, an LIRR spokesman said.
The railroad notified passengers of the service suspension about 10:15 p.m.
Passengers were told to take the subway during the investigation.
