Trio ties up kids, uses stun gun on man during robbery in Elmont, cops say

Three men with guns robbed an Elmont home Friday night, tying up two children and using a stun gun on a 21-year-old man.

Nassau County police said three unknown men entered an Emily Avenue home through a side door around 7:45 p.m. Two of them were wearing what appeared to be United Parcel Service uniforms. The first man went into a first-floor backroom and tied the hands of two children, ages 8 and 15. He had a black handgun.

The second man, who also had a black handgun, went upstairs and ran into two more people, ages 25 and 39, and demanded money. After they said they didn't have any, the third man began searching the bedrooms.

The first and second men then went into the basement with the 25-year-old victim, where there was fifth person, who was 21 years old, in the house. They again demanded money, and when the fifth victim refused, he was shocked in the back with the stun gun.

The subjects fled the house, taking with them an unknown amount of money, jewelry and a cellphone.

The first man was described as being 6 foot, 2 inches tall, wearing the delivery uniform with a black hooded sweatshirt underneath; the second man, 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, in his 20s, and wearing the uniform; and the third man, 5 foot 8 inches, 200 pounds, in his 20s, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and red and green LeBron sneakers.

The victims refused medical assistance at the scene.
