The driver of a Terminix truck had to be cut from his seat early Monday after the 2009 vehicle went out of control and crashed into a building on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, officials said.

The driver, who was not identified, was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside with neck and back pain, Rockville Centre village spokesman Jeff Kluwer said.

The 6:57 a.m. crash occurred on eastbound Sunrise just east of Morris Avenue.

The driver told Rockville Centre police he lost control in the morning snow and slush, hit a light pole, crashed into the storefront of the former Capezio Dance Theatre Shop, now vacant, and Advance Formal Wear, Kluwer said.

"It was a straight-on, single-vehicle accident," Kluwer said.

No tickets were issued.
