Two charged in Elmont car deal gone bad
It was a used car deal gone bad, police said. Now, two Queens men are under arrest - charged with stealing back the cash they used to buy a set of wheels Monday in Elmont.
The incident occurred at the PK Service Station on Elmont Road Monday at 5:26 p.m.
Nassau County police said two men from Jamaica, identified as Aberdean Lysaith, 27, of 144th Road, and Khaleel Williams, 21, of 176th Street, purchased the vehicle for $1,500 - but said there was a dispute over the transaction.
Police said they argued and the two men knocked the victim to the ground, punching and kicking him, then took back the cash.
Police said they also stole his cell phone.
Bureau of Special Operations officers located the two in Queens and made the arrests.
Lysaith and Williams were each charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and were scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
