Two hurt in Atlantic Beach head-on crash

A sport utility vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle at midday Wednesday in Atlantic Beach, causing minor injuries to two people, Nassau County police said.
The accident occurred at 12:06 p.m. at Beech Street and Yates Avenue, police said.
Units from the Long Beach and Lawrence-Cedarhurst fire departments also responded to the scene.
