Two men rob woman at gunpoint in Elmont
Police are looking for two men who threatened a 64-year-old woman with a gun and robbed her of cash and personal papers in Elmont early Tuesday morning, Nassau County Fifth Squad detectives said.
The woman was walking on Dutch Broadway near Virginia Avenue when the two men approached her at about 4:15 a.m., police said. The men told her they had a gun and demanded her pocketbook.
Police said the men, who never showed a gun, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and some personal papers before fleeing south on Virginia Avenue. The woman was not injured.
