Nassau health officials have closed two county beaches due to unsafe water conditions.

County health department officials said Saturday that Massapequa’s Biltmore Beach Club and Lattingtown Beach in Lattingtown are closed to swimmers until further notice.

Officials detected elevated bacteria levels in the water, making for unsafe conditions.

Updated information on beach closures and re-openings is available by calling the department at 516-227-9700.
