Two people were robbed by a man with a gun as they sat in a car in Uniondale early Sunday, Nassau County police said.

The two victims -- a 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman -- were in the car at Nassau Road and Harding Street at about 2 a.m. when police said a man approached them.

The man asked for the time, then pulled out a black handgun and demanded their property, police said.

The victims gave two cellphones to the man, who then ran west on Harding Street, police said.

No one was injured.

The suspect was described as about 25 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and mask.

Police ask anyone with information about this case to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. Callers will be kept anonymous.
