Uniondale High bomb threat a fake: police
A call Friday about a suspicious package at Uniondale High School turned out to be much ado about nothing, Nassau County police said.
A 911 caller alerted police to a package some suspected could be a bomb, police said. But officers responding to the scene at 11:45 a.m. found no bomb, police said. They said the school was not evacuated.
Police were continuing to investigate at 12:30 p.m.
Calls to the high school and the Uniondale School District's administrative offices went unanswered Friday.
Police said no other details were immediately available.
