Uniondale house fire battled by 9 departments, officials say

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze that heavily damaged a house in Uniondale early Wednesday.
The fire at the home on Park Avenue, near Uniondale Avenue, was reported in a 911 call at 1:02 a.m., Nassau County police said.
Fire officials said firefighters from nine departments — Uniondale, Hempstead, West Hempstead, South Hempstead, Roosevelt, North Bellmore, East Meadow, Franklin Square and Westbury — all battled the blaze. There were no reported injuries.
Photos from the scene show the two-story home ablaze, entire sections of the house gutted.
