A Uniondale man has been arrested in connection with the August 2012 fatal shooting of a Hempstead man near the victim's home, Nassau County police said.

Agdnan Mcleod, 23, of 827 Park Pl., Uniondale, was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree murder, police said.

On Aug. 1, 2012, at 8:10 p.m., Hempstead Village police responded to a call about shots fired near 158 Lawson St. and found Rameel Blanco, 30, of that address, police said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital before 9 p.m. that night, police said.

Police said Mcleod was extradited from Sacramento under a Superior Court Arrest Warrant. He will appear in County Court on Tuesday.

Police said a co-defendant Marty Wiggins, 27, of 2300 Central Ave., in Baldwin, was arrested on Aug. 16, 2012 and charged with second-degree murder. Wiggins was arraigned on Aug. 18, 2012, in First District Court in Hempstead.
