A Uniondale man charged with attempted murder after police said he fired "several shots" at a 31-year-old man in Roosevelt was ordered held without bail Tuesday.

Stephan Boucarut, 24, of 487 Cooper Ct. was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree criminal use of a firearm, second-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree burglary and first-degree criminal contempt, Nassau County police said.

Boucarut was arraigned Tuesday and held without bail.

Police said Boucarut fired at the victim, whose identity was not released, near the intersection of Debevoise Avenue and John Street at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Police did not say if Boucarut and the victim knew each other.

Boucarut was arrested by Bureau of Special Operations officers, though police did not release additional details.
