A Uniondale man died after he was hit by two cars, one of which didn't stop, early Sunday morning in Amityville, Suffolk County police said.

Carlos Perez-Rodas, 26, was in front of El Rodeo Restaurant and Bar on Broadway at Locust Drive shortly before 12:43 a.m. when he was struck by a 2012 Toyota Corolla driven by Joshua Dauphin, 23, of Farmingdale, police said.

As Dauphin and other people were trying to stop southbound traffic on Broadway after the crash, another vehicle, which witnesses described as a late-model, dark-colored Mercedes, also struck Perez-Rodas but kept moving south on Broadway.

Perez-Rodas was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are continuing the investigation, and ask anyone with information about this case to call the vehicular crimes unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 631-220-TIPS. Calls will be kept confidential.
