A man robbed a cellphone store at gunpoint in Valley Stream on Sunday, Nassau County police said in a news release.

Police said that the man walked into Cellular City at 60 East Merrick Road at 4:53 p.m. and asked if the store sold iPhones. The store clerk said they did and the suspect then pulled out a small black handgun and demanded money and cellphones, police said.

After taking an undetermined about of cash and several cellphones, police said, the suspect told the clerk to lie on the floor and then fled on foot. The suspect was described as being 6-feet tall, medium build, wearing a black hat, a black or brown hooded shirt and black gloves.
