The Massapequa Fire Department responds to a vehicle fire on Clocks Boulevard at about 2:50 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018. Credit: Paul Mazza

Police and firefighters responding to a 911 call reporting a “fully engulfed non-occupied parked vehicle” early Thursday in Massapequa found a GMC Envoy ablaze in front of a home, Nassau County police said.

The fire was quickly extinguished, police said.

The vehicle fire outside the home on Clocks Boulevard, near Elizabeth Street, was reported at 2:55 a.m., police said.

Firefighters from the Massapequa Fire Department responded to the scene and doused the blaze.

There were no reported injuries and police said the cause of the fire is under investigation by Arson / Bomb Squad detectives.
