A Nassau police ambulance bureau vehicle struck and injured a pedestrian in Hempstead Thursday night, officials said.

The male pedestrian was struck near the intersection of Clinton Street and Lent Avenue about 9:45 p.m., Nassau police said.

The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said, but information concerning his condition and identity was not immediately released.
