Local organizers are looking for volunteer attorneys and Haitian Creole speakers to help facilitate sessions for Haitians seeking to apply for temporary protected status.

A training session for interested volunteers will be held Thursday night at 8 p.m. on the second floor of Eglise Pentecotiste des Pecheurs d'Hommes, 47 E. Fulton Ave., Roosevelt.

The assistance sessions will be held Feb. 1, 3, 5, 9 and 11 from 7 to 10 p.m. and Feb. 13 from noon to 3 p.m.
