Wake set for Wantagh teen killed crossing highway

There will be a wake for Brittany Vega, the 14-year-old Wantagh High School student killed as she walked across Sunrise Highway Wednesday, at Wantagh Abbey Funeral Home at 3374 Park Ave. Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to her family.

Her funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Bellmore Presbyterian Church at 2740 Martin Ave.
