Police: Wrong-way driver on Wantagh Parkway charged
A Brooklyn man driving in the wrong direction Saturday night on the Wantagh State Parkway was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, State Police said.
Wekesa Kingasia, 57, was headed south in the northbound lanes near the Jones Beach toll plaza, at about 9 p.m., police said.
Police said Kingasia was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
