Westbury man arrested on child porn charges

Detectives with a search warrant found child pornography on the home computer of a Westbury man, Nassau police said in announcing his arrest.

The man, identified as Terrence Morquecho, 42, is accused of possessing and distributing the pornography, police said. Police also say they found an unlicensed, unloaded .22 caliber revolver in the Whittier Street home.

Police declined to give the ages of the children featured in the pornography or elaborate on the child pornography investigation that led to the warrant against Morquecho.

He's charged with promoting sexual performance of a child, possessing sexual performance of a child and possessing a dangerous weapon. He is to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
