Westbury road reopens after accident

Police reopened Union Avenue at Post Avenue in Westbury Friday afternoon after a car accident closed it earlier.

The road was closed in both directions Friday morning after the accident between a diesel truck and car at about 11 a.m., said police spokesman James Imperiale. No fatalities were reported, he said.

Police and work crews were clearing the area and debris, he said.
