A Westbury bank was robbed Friday by a man who approached a teller and demanded cash, police said.

The teller at the TD Bank branch, 6060 Brush Hollow Rd., gave him an unspecified amount of cash, and the man left the bank and headed southbound through the parking lot about 5 p.m., Nassau police said.

Nine employees and one customer were in the bank at the time, police said, but no one was reported injured.

The robber was in his late 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build, police said, and was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a dark tie and a Yankees baseball cap.

Detectives asked that anyone with information contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
