In a 20-minute videotape played for jurors at her trial, Susan Williams left little doubt that she wanted her husband dead. And she provided details of Peter Williams' habits, whereabouts and a picture to ensure her would-be hit man's success.

In the footage of a meeting Williams had in a car with an undercover police officer, she confirms that she wants her husband killed, though she wants to know "how it's done," deciding ultimately, "if it's an accident that's great."

Her tone is matter-of-fact, though she lets out nervous laughter several times.

"No, I want it as simple as possible, ya know," she said, adding, "If I could do it myself, I would," and laughed briefly.

She declined several offers to walk away from the deal.

In one exchange, the undercover officer says: "You could, Susan, you wanna walk away from me, we never met, have a good life, see you later, that's fine . . . "

She replies: "No, I don't. I don't. I would love to just do this and get it done."

Williams provides a photo of Peter Williams at their daughter's Sweet 16 party, says he drinks heavily, golfs at the Garden City Country Club and will likely be traveling to Red Bank, N.J., for a children's benefit.

She reveals that she needs to approximate the right facial expression when police come to her door to report his death, and she wonders aloud whether she should go to the funeral

"Should I go?" she asks. "I guess I have to go 'cause I gotta show my remorse for the kids and . . . make sure they go through [the] grieving process 'cause it's important."

She hands over $500 cash and confirms it is for her husband's death.

"And he's gonna be dead," the officer said.

"Yeah," Williams replies.

"He's not going to be living any more," the officer said.

"Right," Williams said.
