Woman charged with DWI drove 100 mph: police

A Merrick woman stopped Wednesday on suspicion of driving 100 mph on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in North Merrick faces charges of driving while intoxicated, state police said.
Danielle Rosenthal, 21, of 31 Edith Pl., was speeding in a blue Nissan near the Southern State Parkway exit when she was stopped at about 2 a.m., police said. The speed limit on the Meadowbrook is 55 mph.
New York State troopers noticed an odor of alcohol on her breath, and she failed sobriety tests, according to a report.
Rosenthal was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding. Arraignment information from First District Court in Hempstead was not immediately available.
