Woman faces credit card theft charges
An Oceanside woman who allegedly stole credit card numbers from customers at a Levittown car dealership and her boyfriend's grandmother has been arrested on forgery charges, Nassau County's Fourth Squad detectives said.
Police said Mirjana Z. Cindric, 29, of 111 Pine St., transcribed the card numbers of two customers at Honda City, where she worked as a secretary, in March.
Between April 11 and April 29, police said she also lifted the card numbers of her boyfriend's 92-year-old grandmother,
Police said Cindric used the victims' card numbers to make purchases at area stores and an Island Park restaurant.
The defendant surrendered Tuesday to police at the Fourth Precinct in Hewlett.
Cindric is charged with three counts of forgery, one count of grand larceny, three counts of identity theft and four counts of petty larceny, police said.
She is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
