A woman severely injured in a crash Friday that police said involved a reckless driver remains in critical condition, while a pedestrian hit during the same crash remained in stable condition, according to a hospital spokesman.

Barbara Thill, 65, was riding in a car driven by her husband, Richard S. Thill, on Friday morning when their vehicle was hit head-on by a car driven by Cruz Correa, 28, of Glen Cove, Nassau County police said.

Barbara Thill underwent surgery at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where she remains in critical condition.

The pedestrian, Christopher Whaley, was listed in stable condition, according to the hospital.

The condition of Thill's husband was unknown, as was the condition of Correa, whose arraignment was postponed due to his injuries.
