Woman robbed, assaulted in Lawrence driveway

Police are trying to find a man who robbed and sexually abused a woman in the driveway of her home in Lawrence, police said.

The woman, 40, had just walked out to her car Tuesday at 10:35 p.m. when the man attacked, police said. He claimed to have a gun, though none was displayed to the victim, police said.

Police said the man is about 5-foot-10, 175 pounds to 200 pounds with light brown eyes. He was wearing a black wool cap, black neck warmer pulled over the lower portion of his face, a black ski jacket, black cargo pants and black gloves.

The woman was hospitalized. More information on her injuries was not immediately available.
