Two men robbed an 18-year-old woman at knifepoint early Saturday morning inside her home in Freeport, Nassau police said.

The masked intruders entered the home on Rutland Road at 3:42 a.m. through an unlocked rear window, officials said.

Once inside the home, the suspects, armed with knives, awoke the victim and demanded she show them where she kept her jewelry, detectives said. The woman complied and went room-to-room with the burglars, turning over jewelry, a camera, a GPS system and cash.

The suspects fled eastbound on East Dean Street on BMX-style bicycles, police said.

The woman was not hurt, and the three other occupants in the home were not awakened by the burglary.

The first suspect is described as 5-foot-7, between 16 and 20 years old, with a slim build and wearing a maroon-colored sweatshirt, black cargo pants and black and red Nike sneakers. The second suspect is described as 5-foot-5, between 16 and 20 years old, with a slim build and wearing a black T-shirt, black cargo pants and black sneakers.

Police ask anyone with information on this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
