Nassau and Lynbrook Village police say they are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in a car on Merrick Road, outside an office and medical complex.

A Lynbrook officer found the body at 266 Merrick Rd. earlier Sunday, said Lt. Kevin Oveis of Lynbrook police, and Nassau detectives were investigating, Oveis and Nassau police said.

Lynbrook police suspect that foul play could be involved, but have not determined if the case is a homicide, Oveis said. They would not say how the woman was killed.

Police did not release the woman's name.
