Woman's car hits tree in Albertson

A 73-year-old woman was taken to a hospital after her car struck a tree in Albertson Wednesday afternoon, Nassau County police said.

The accident happened on Willis Avenue at 12:03 p.m.

The woman was taken to Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. Neither the identity of the woman nor her condition have been released. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
