Woman used stolen credit card at Levittown OfficeMax, say cops

A Bronx woman was arrested and charged Monday with using a stolen credit card at a Levittown OfficeMax, Nassau police said.
Police said Patricia Jefferies, 20, of 1860 Billingsley Terr. was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Police said she entered the store at 3350 Hempstead Tpke., and attempted to make purchases with a forged CapitalOne credit card about 1:14 p.m. Monday, police said.
The store manager notified police and Jeffries left the scene in a waiting auto. Second Precinct police officers found the vehicle on Seamans Neck Road and placed Jeffries under arrest. Jefferies was found to be in possession of two additional forged credit cards, police said.
She will be arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
