Man, 76, killed in 3-car crash in Woodmere, police say

A 76-year-old man was killed Monday morning in a three-car collision in Woodmere, Nassau police said.
Police did not identify the man, who was westbound on West Broadway in a 2015 Nissan Rogue when he collided with an eastbound 2025 BMW convertible operated by a 17-year-old driver just before 9:30 a.m., police said.
The BMW then struck a westbound 2025 Mazda on West Broadway operated by a 67-year-old woman, police said in a news release issued Tuesday. The other drivers were also not identified by police.
The older man, the sole occupant of the Nissan, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the BMW and his 16-year-old passenger were both taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries No other injuries were reported, police said.
The drivers of the BMW and the Mazda remained at the scene, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
