Worker killed in fall from Inwood roof

A worker accidentally fell to his death Thursday from the roof of an Inwood medical building, police said.

The 63-year-old Atlantic Beach man was doing roofing work at 372 Doughty Blvd. at 11:30 a.m. when he fell about 40 feet, Nassau police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police withheld the worker's identity until next of kin could be notified. Police said criminality did not appear to be involved in the accident.
