BACKGROUND:
- Walsh, 56, of East Norwich, was first elected in 2019. She is a residential real estate agent and previously worked in public relations.
- She is an adviser to Youth Club 4:12 at St. Dominic Catholic Church and to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County.
- She is helping the nonprofit America’s VetDogs to raise awareness for the organization that supports disabled veterans and first responders.
ISSUES:
- Walsh said she will focus on quality-of-life issues like repaving roads and investing in parks and fields.
- She said she will encourage chambers of commerce and community groups to adopt traffic islands that they would maintain.
- She said she will work with organizations to clean up and protect the town’s waterfronts.
