BACKGROUND:

  • Saladino, 62, of Massapequa, is seeking a fourth term as Oyster Bay Town supervisor.
  • He was appointed supervisor in 2017 while serving as a state assemblyman and was elected to the post later that year.
  • He graduated from the New York Institute of Technology.

ISSUES:

  • Saladino said he will fight against high-density housing and work to preserve the suburban quality of life.
  • He said his priorities include investing in road maintenance and town parks, and expanding the town’s shellfish hatchery.
  • He said he wants to improve the town’s bond rating to a perfect AAA.
