It was a classic Francesa explosion -- on a Long Island assemblyman.

Dean Murray (R-East Patchogue) got a full screaming-at by sports radio host Mike Francesa on Tuesday when he argued daily fantasy sports were games of skill rather than gambling.

The voluble WFAN star welcomed "Dean from Long Island" over the phones, who identified himself as Assemblyman Murray. Murray said he was looking to give an update on the daily fantasy sports legislation in Albany, where there were hours of testimony on Tuesday.

When Murray argued that contests by FanDuel and DraftKings are primarily games of skill, Francesa's voice got elevated, according to a 14 minute clip posted on YouTube, linked here.

"They are bookmakers! Don't you realize this? All they are are bookmakers!" Francesa said at the seven-minute mark.

"No, they are not because there are no odds and they don't take a cut," Murray responded.

"They take a cut! Dean, do you know what you're talking about?"

Murray responded at one point, "My God, take a pill."

Francesa said, "You talk like a regular politician. This is embarrassing."

"You've twisted every answer I give," Murray said.

Under questioning, Murray said he had not gotten any campaign contributions from FanDuel or DraftKings.

Murray, who said he is a fantasy player, has introduced two bills to make fantasy sports legal in New York, following Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s lawsuit to shut down FanDuel and DraftKings.

Murray said he wanted to update listeners on the state of daily fantasy sports but Francesa "was intent on screaming and yelling."

 "It was very ugly."
