A two-car accident in Commack left one driver hospitalized Thursday night with non-life-threatening injuries, police and fire officials said.

The crash occurred on Harned Road near New Highway at 8:04 p.m., Suffolk County police said. One of the vehicles hit a pole.

Commack Fire Department firefighters and a crew from the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. One driver was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.

His condition was not immediately known.
