A pickup truck with two passengers veered off Yaphank-Middle Island Road in Yaphank early Sunday morning and crashed into two trees, Suffolk Police said.

The accident happened at 3:58 a.m. in front of 419 Yaphank-Middle Island Road, cops said.

Driver Ronald Wisniski, 32, of Ridge was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The passenger in the 2005 Nissan, George Hengstenberg, 21, was treated for minor injures and released Sunday morning.
