Two elderly, sick ferrets were abandoned at an animal hospital, the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said in announcing a $1,000 reward Thursday for information on whoever left them.
The two were abandoned March 3 at Oakdale Animal Hospital, SPCA chief Roy Gross said in a release.
The ferrets are 7 to 8 years old and have medical issues, the SPCA said.
The SPCA is asking anyone with information to contact them at 631-382-7722.
